Cemetery Trustees

Present: Ruth Hammen, Scott Marston, Fred Shaw
Contract: The Trustees signed a revised contract with Steveís Quality Services that would include cleanup and mowing at the Morrill Cemetery.
Abandoning Cemeteries: Ruth will attend the selectmenís meeting this evening where they will hold a hearing on abandoning several town cemeteries.
Spring Cleanup: Annual cleanup of the cemeteries will begin soon. Any items left at gravesites will be removed at this time. A spring cleanup notice will be placed in the Suncook Sun and the Concord Monitor next week.
Veteran Flags: The Trustees will purchase 192 American flags from Rockyís Ace Hardware at a cost of 82 cents per flag. This is a significant savings over the cost last year. Ruth is checking to see if Scouts will place the flags again this year.
Stones: The focus for this year is straightening/up-righting gravestones. Steveís Quality Services has shown interest in this project. Trustees will meet with Steve later this spring to identify specific stones and arrive at a cost.
Charrette: Trustees discussed a letter from the Heritage/Historical Society urging the Selectmen to participate in a plan for vision and development. Trustees felt the $5000 cost would be prohibitive but endorse the idea.
